I'll bet you got your money's worth out of that 6X Springfield? Haven't seen that one around in quite some years.

Brushbuster

I just checked Bass Pro Shop website. They have a couple of 4" eye relief Banners in 3-9X40 in stock. Personally, unless you plan on "only" shooting three pellets or 150 grains loose - if you are like most folks who use 80-120 grains, the 4" ER model has better optics/clarity than the 6" model & does the job for the money. If Bass Pro has neither in stock & it's quite obvious that it's too late to mail-order a scope with deer season so close, then the Nikon Prostaff will be there for you. That is an upgrade to the Bushnell Banner in my opinion... worth another $60.

If you by-chance have time to mail order, this one below is a Best Buy at $119.90. Plenty of nice optics late or early -- plenty of eye relief (4.5") and plenty of adjustment room vertically/horizontally and in-between the turret for sliding back & forth while in the rings. I have two of em... this one & the bigger 2.5-10 model.
