I have always shot hoyts. I waited for the 2005's to come out, as I would like a new bow this year. I am so disappointed with the new line-up. I think it was on archery talk where i saw all the pictures of the new line. They have flames on the riser (not just painted) actually machined in the riser. Some models vtec and others have all these sharp points on the risers. I don't care for the looks at all, especially in a hunting situation. They may be "cool" on the range or shooting indoors, but for hunting to many snag possibilities.

This hurts me to say but I will have to consider a {gulp} bowtech maybe even mathews once the new line-ups are released.

Don't get me wrong the hoyts may shoot just as well as always but I have to like the look also. I just feel that Hoyt changed the look without regard to improving the bow. I don't think others will take that approach.
