Not quite. I prefer the 270 Win over the 30-06. It has less recoil, is flatter shooting and has better sectional density unless you are using bruisers out of the 06. As a matter of fact between the 270 Win, 7mm-08 Rem and 308 Win I have no need for the 30-06.
