Both are more than enough gun for deer and blk bear. "If" you REALLY want the 270 Win., then get it!!! Personally, i never cared for the 270 Win., but there's sure nothing wrong with it for a deer and blk bear round!

In 30-06, use 150 or 165 grain on deer, and 165 or 180 on blk bear.

In the 270 Win., use 130's or 150's on deer, and 150's on blk bear.

You have to make YOU happy, so get the one you REALLY want!!
