LilBuck, I too have used both rounds and like them both very well. It is just as easy to find ammo for one as the other. Both of them are among the top five choices most anywhere you hunt in the country.
There is no black bear that will tell the difference when soaking up a .270 or .3006 round to the vitals.
This is true, but you will notice the difference in the recoil of the two rounds. If you can handle the recoil of the .30/06 then so much the better go with that caliber. Either way you can't go wrong.
