I've been taking the little one (4 week old) for a ride at night to get him to sleep. Normally this is about 12:00am. The bucks that I have been seeing in a few fields around my way have been by themselves. There were a few doe in the vicinity, but the Bucks seemed more interested in feeding than chasing. I did see one however last night cross the road slowly behind a doe with his nose to the ground.

I'm sure it's right around the corner for sure. The last weekend in October has always been a real good time for me to see deer moving throughout the daytime.
