Yeah, I would agree with that. I'd also caution that corn can be expensive to grow. Its fairly demanding as far as Ph and Fertilizer. If you do not spray, you almost need to cultivate beteen the rows at least once. Corn is one of those nonforgiving crops that if may leave you with 4 ft, earless stalks, or 2 ft stunted, purpled plants if you do not follow the regiment for time and method of planting, and correct amounts of fertilizer and lime.
That being said, there is not better draw than standing corn in our tough winters. We average 150"/year, and its a true magnet for deer in the winter.
