RE: Cannot load shockwave sabots
I've been shooting XTP sabots out of my T/C encore and it took some time to get them to go in with just alot of force instead of almost break the aluminum ramrod force. I just stuck to this regiment (I assume you're uising pyrodex or even better one of the sulfer frees.) Load gun, shoot, then
1.)Wet patch with No. 13 bore clearner
2.)Dry patch
3.)Patch with light coating of Bore Butter
4.)Load and fire new round.
It took almost 20 rounds to get my gun in a "seasoned" state so sabots go down alittle easier.
Also if you don't have a bullet seater(short ramrod,) get one, and either machine or buy a jag that will rest on the copper part of the shockwave. If you deform the polycarbonite tip you'll have accuracy troubles. A t handle also helped me for the top of my ramrod.
Personally I won't be using shockwaves because of their finiky nature, that is until I scope my Encore, then I'll be all about the 200+ yard sabots.
Hope this helps
