This is something that has really been getting me upset for the past 20 years. Here in southwestern PA you have to hunt on all the public lands because most farmers won't let anyone hunt on their posted lands. Leasing land for hunting clubs is not a good idea at all. There was some land that was bought by a local timber company. My father and I hunted on this land since I was able to hunt which was about 1986. Then around 1990 some guys leased the place for their hunting club.....guess what....now no one can hunt on it because the whole damn thing is posted. Now we hunt game lands and the deer population is horrendous. I don't what can be done to solve this situation, but PGC needs to do something about their QDM, because it has destroyed the deer populations in the state game lands.
