If the deer did not wind you, get after him. Consider a bit of rattling, nothing too excessive. He's probably the boss, or if he's not, he'll probably still respond to light rattling.

I have seen the same buck from a stand in the evening, and then again the following AM more than once. If I see a deer I want, I always hunt the stand again ASAP.
