Just before sunset last night I was watching a little four point work its way around me the wind was blowing right to him I was hopeing he wouldn't wind me and make a ruckus. Well he didn't he stood right down wind for a few min. noseing the air like you could tell he smelled something but wasn't sure what it was. I showered with no scent and use a ton of scent killer! He worked his way to 30 yds for a picture then went on his merry way.

I just turned back around and was getting comfortable (because that fork was behind me) when from the south I see this buck. I didn't look at him long because he was on the trail that runs 9 yards from my tree. AT80 yards and closeing like his tail was on fire. I figured the less I look at him the more calm I'll stay. Well when he got to about 50 yards from me he took a hard left and stoped at the edge of the river. I still couldn't see him real well because he was in some brush. I thoughtgood he's just getting a drink. He stood there and took a drink the ran accross the river, stood there in some more brush and then dissapeared. What I did see of this buck was that his rack was as wide as his back and his right G2 was at least 10" long. This is by far the biggest buck I've ever seen while hunting! He couldn't of winded me, he was comming from straight up wind of me. I sit and say what did I do wrong, did he see me? I don't think so! I think It wsa just the way he wanted to go that night. Any comments?

I can't wait to get back out there! Should I give him a few days or go after him?
