Default RE: Owl Hooters?

I'm not a fan of all the "canister" type "easy" hooters. This is because they don't have that distinct "gravel" sound to them. Therefore, they really don't produce a true barred owl sound. They produce more of a horned owl sound which the hunter uses a barred owl rhythm with... unrealistic IMO especially for "owl laughing". (I'm not saying they won't work though.)

Of all I have use the wooden Palmer hoot tube from H.S. is my favorite. But, there are a few other reed-style hooters that work well also. (Quaker Boy & Penn's Woods to name 2)
