Out of the factory 300 magnums the 300 RUM is the best for the price.I to have handloaded for the 300 win and have not got over the 3100 fps mark with out loosing accracy,it dose better at 300 to 2950's.

As for the 300 Weatherby I have pushed 3200 fps and done well with 180 gr Speer Boatails.

Now I have got the 300 RUM up to 3200 (3180)fps with 200 gr slug and over 3400 with the 165 gr Nosler Boatails.
So on those figures I shoot the 300 RUM and the speed is what I like.
Now if you don't reload,the factory 180gr cartrige from federal is a great round for the 300 RUM

Big Country,I have yet to get over 3000 fps from my 300 WSM with 180 gr bullets.Now I have gotten to 3150 fps with 165 gr Boatails and have seen one elk taken with that load and it preformed great.
