FINALLY!!!! thanks you-oldelkhunter,bigcountry,jamesb. someone else who saw the things I suspected about the RUM. nice advertising they did w/ the 300RUM. I dont have a 300RUM, but I do have a 300win mag and know what my loads cronny at. I noticed early on in the magazine articles compareing the 300's that they were compareing factory loads in the win mag and weatherby mag to top hand loads in the RUM, then useing those numbers to claim that the RUM was on par w/ the 30-378. I've always felt the RUM was more on par w/ the 300weatherby. Now I've got some guys who can give some credence to my thoughts. I still think the RUM is a very good cartridge, just not all they claim.
