If I were faced with the choice of staying home or going coyote hunting with a .22, I would probably go out, but I call them in so it would have to be a very, very, close shot. If you need a rifle suitable and affordable for varmit hunting, look into a NEF Handi-rifle. They are available in several calibers. You won't be making any thousand yard kills, but 300 to 500 yards would be possible. You can take a look at a few of my varmit kills. Go to mosportsmen.com.
