The rifle I just purchased, the Lyman Great Plains Rifle, in .54 caliber and flintlock, also has the 1 in 32 in. rifling available in a replacement barrel. If I can get an acceptable grouping at 100 yards, as long as it is consistent, then I may attempt to shoot maxis with this rifle.
