If used in a strong single action revolver like the freedom arms the 50 AE can be very powerfull, but so can a 44 mag in the same gun. I'd have to give the edge to the 50ae for power in that setting. IF you are comparing a 44 revolver to a desert eagle or one of the other autos then the power scale would have to go to the 44 mag.
