Sounds like you had a great time in the outdoors Jen. I would rather have heard that the proshop put some serving on the string instead of electrical tape. JMO. I like you line about QSM. We just like to shoot them all. Never seem to get them all though.

KK-I have never processed a car kill. We do however do all of our own deer. My son (16) can take a deer and skin it, debone it and have the back straps out in under an hour. Then I have to do all the trim work. We then make all of our own sausage and brats. We have just started this so we are still working on the recipes. We got started on it last year. We built a building with a room just for processing deer (see pic). It did cost quite a bit to get started but we did 7 deer last year. It cost about $75 a deer to just get it cut and wrapped. Another $100-$150 if you get anything made. I figure about $200 by the time you get done per deer at a butcher. With that last year we saved as much as all the equipment cost and we will have it for many years.

That wood table is 10 feet long to give you an idea of size. The room is 15x30 and the building is 60x30. That is a screen poarch on the other side of the windows.
