Go with the Ruger and never look back. I bought a Ruger M77 mk2 2 years ago in .257 Roberts and with my handloads using 100gr Sierra Gameking bullets it will group .75" at 100 yards. I did do a little trigger work myself and brought the pull down to 3.5lbs. Mine is just the plain jane blued/walnut version. Nothing special but a well built solid performer.
