Congrats PLB!!! Nice pics of the deer and good job.
BLKLAB, I've never seen a wild bobcat. I've heard of people seeing them in the county west of mine. It would be cool to see them or shoot one. I'd settle for arrowing a yote, there're to many around here.
Jen, It seems every hunt has something new to see. Thats one of the reasons I love to hunt.
I just deboned the 2 rear quarters of the deer. I'm going to my cousins tomorrow to grind it up and the St. Louis Cardinal game is also on at the same time. So, I wanted to get ahead cutting it up. One of the quarters had some brusied meat, I lost about 1/4 the meat. The other quarter was perfect. Has anyone else cut a deer up that'd been hit by a vechicle? It was a new experiece for me.
Here's a quick question. What do you do with the deer carcas and bones of the deer after you take the meat off it? I've just been throwing it in the woods for the animals to eat. And how many of you clean the deer yourself?
I'm going hunting in the morning. I'll be watching for deer before I get into the woods
