Deer Calls
Maybe a stupid question, but while I understand the concept of a deer call bringing in deer, I don't really know the details of it. With my deer call, I can make buck, young buck, doe and fawn sounds. What responds to what calls and when is a good time to use them? A monster 8 point walked past my stand about 60 yards out and into a field and I wanted to try calling him back, but from what I was told he most likely wouldn't respond anyways. I also didn't want to scare away a smaller buck who was heading towards my buddy's treestand. I had tried stopping a doe earlier in the night and she didn't seem to care either. Too early in the season? Not the right calls? How's this all work?
