Another question from the peanut gallery.

Can someone liken the kick of a 45/70 Government to another cartridge that I have shot. I have shot 308, 3006, 30-30, Bird Shot, Turkey Magnum Loads. Thats about it. The only one on the list that I don't like shooting are Turkey magnum loads.

Also I am looking into purchasing a Marlin 1895 Cowboy with the Octogon barrel. Does anyone have any experience with this gun? Do you like it? I intend to use it for hunting.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.
