what's the relationship of this guy to your father-in-law?? family, friend, coworker? did he previously have arrangements with your father in law to hunt there? regardless, it sounds like he's making an attempt to work with you on this. thats one positive point. he laid down the terms, so abide by them. but don't bs him when your not just so he doesn't take a deer from your spot when your not there, even though just the thought of that gets you riled up. if 3 guys agreed on one spot, it must be a prime site, but trying to screw him over isn't the answer. that is IF he didn't see your stands there already. if the landowner doesn't have a problem with it then you'll have to deal with it. but be cool about it. if he doesn't want to continue with the terms he set, then he should move on.
