Take the time to tune your bow. If you have an arrow matched to your draw length and poundage, some fine tuning is all that's needed. Bare shaft tuning is the quickest and most accurate way to fine tune. Make sure you have 2 fletched arrows and 1 without any fletching at all. Set up around 15 yards from your target and shoot the two fletched arrows and then the bare shaft. You want the bare shaft to impact dead center and just a bit low. (1/4 to 1/2" low) If the arrow impacts high, the nock set is low. Loosen your nock set just enough to turn it on the serving. like a nut on a bolt. You want to go up if the bare shaft hits high and down if the bare shaft is low. Then shoot the same sequence, two fletched one bare shaft until the bare shaft inpacts as described above. Now, if you are below the fletched arrow but off to one side or the other you must adjust your center shot by moving your rest the opposite direction of the impact. ie: impact right, move rest left. Once you have the bare shaft impacting with the fletched group, lock in your rest and nock set. Attach your broadhead and I guarentee you will impact with your field tips. Oh, another guy ask me why you want the bare shaft to impact low? When the fletching is attached, the arrow will impact eaxctly the same point as the others.
Good Hunting
