In primetimes defense, I watch alot of animal planet with my kids and last week they "rescued" a deer that had an arrow through its neck. It was just fine. They cut the arrow (no idea why they didnt unscrew the point), and pulled it out. Then they put some ointment on it and turned it loose. So, after seeing that, I have to believe it is very possible for a deer to live with an arrow in its neck. Hopefully you can find it.
