The guys are probably right. I'd also figure that your draw-length is too long.
Shorten it up some. Just to know, how long is it set at right now?
You might look into an armpad also...keeps you from stining your arm, and also can tuck sleeves (from long-sleeve shirts) outta the way of your string.
