I planted a small patch out by a stand on my neighbors land in a river bottom 3 weeks ago. Well tonight was awesome, it didn't start out that way though. The house on the next land was shooting their shotguns for about a half hour then crow hunting with a crow tape. Man that thing was loud. Then once that was done about 10 minutes later I hear deer walking. First one came out and it was a nice doe. She stopped and I could hear more walking. Then 3 more came out. All four came right to my small Full Draw that I planted and started feeding. Wow that was cool. Just before I could draw back I hear another deer running up. Sure enough a 5th doe showed up. Then finally they all put their heads down and I drew back. Taking my time I put my pin on her heart for this 10 yard shot. Released and thwack she dropped in her tracks. I pulled her away to field dress her and when I was done I stood up to drag her out and there was two more does eating there. Unbelievable. I have never been that covered up in deer. What a night. Also this is a intensive harvest zone. I can get 3 more does. With 4 kids to feed it takes about that a year. My buddy usually gives me a deer also. Love that venison.[8D] Good luck to all.
