A friend of mine used to shoot up old books too mainly with a 22 or 22 mag, one time he lined up 12 300+ page school books shot them from 10 feet with a 30-30 in his house the bullet went clean through all of them and the bullet hit one of his mother antique china bowls and went through the wall of the house and finally stopped when it stuck in his neighbors vinyl siding, he recovered the bullet from the siding was mushroomed like you wouldnt believe. that was the last time he did that.
