Default RE: Food Plot/Bedding Area

Personally I don't like to hunt over the food. You can see why with your dilema. If you stands are hung I would avoid the area when you believe the deer will be bedded. If you've been bumping them out in the morning then IMO is best to avoid it at that time. If you make the deer feel insecure in that spot they'll leave. What I would have done is hang the stands onthe travel routes to and from the plot. This way you don't have to worry as much about bumping them on your way in. It still may happen but most likely not at the same frequency. On a travel route the deer will pass but likely not hang out under your stand and prevent you from gettng down in the evenings. If you do spook the deer the'll remember they were scared on their way to the food and likely just alter their routes a bit. When you get busted over the food you'll likely make the dee noctournal.

Do you own a climber. Get out and hunt the travel lanes close to the plot.
