Default RE: Which Savage Arms 110GXP3 , 111FXP3 , 116FXP3 ???

Wojak-

The two digit models (10, 11, 16, etc.) are short action cartridges (.243, 260, 308, etc.), the 3 digit models (110,111,116, etc) are long action, ie .30-06, 7 RM, .270, etc.

The scopes on these rifles are typically either Bushnells or Simmons lower end scopes.

I own a Savage 110GXP3 in .30-06, with the Bushnell 3-9x32 scope on it. I bought it 5 years ago. If I do my part, I can get groups in the 1" range with no problem. They are not very pretty, but are typically very rugged and accurate.

All of the actions are based on the 110, with only minor differences. The 110 is the base model. The 116 is SS/Synthetic. The 111, I think has a detachable box magazine. Other than those few differences, the action, bolt, safety, everything is the same between the rifles.

Hope this helps.
