Where does the odd colour vane go?

This is my problem. Right now I have it so that it points left on a right handed bow. But with all my arrows right now the odd colored vane is always getting damaged. My arrows are fletched with 3 vanes. Should I change the way they're fletched to correct this or is there anything else I could try?
