RE: Tree Lounger Climbing Stand
Okay Guys I'm back to give my two cents . I've had a old model since 1993 which proved to be a great stand.I fell for the new version a few years back. Anybody that's been here for awhile probably remembers the 4' slip I had happen.Bent the stand up and it was replaced by TL.The replacement was just as bad for slipping. I asked if anybody knew how to contact TMA.On another site where I moderate I was given names and TMA's email address.OEH is correct TL's customer service was terrible. He's had one of these exciting experiences with a New Version like I did.If nothing else it takes a couple years off your life.Things have changed at Treelounge. Bob Hice now owns it again thankfully. After contacting TMA about these issues a couple days later I received a call from Treelounge.I was asked to return it for a free replacement. Then I was asked if I wanted another new version like I had or a new revised one by Bob Hice. I have no use for the new version so I asked for the BH revised model. I was told it's a little heavier. That's not a problem. Last week I received the replacement.Basically it the same as the original Treelounges. He did keep a few of the new versions features. It's back to the squared aluminum no more of the semi rounded extrusions. The vee section which caused most if not all of the slips is back to the squared angle.I was delighted to see these changes.I think TL will go back to the company like it was when Bob Hice owned before.I personally will not use another of the New Version Rhett Spivia redesigned. If you are having problems with your new versions I would recommend contacting Treelounge. They want to make things right That was different story when Rhett Spivia owned it..I was suppose to keep a member informed when I found out anything. The problem is I can't remember who you are. I had it written down but can't find it.Send me a email and I'll get back with you. Put Treelounge in the subject box.One other thing since Jan 04 all the new Treelounges come with a 4 point full body harness.
