If you consider that the back of the skull (around where the ears are) to the tip of the nose in not quite 3 feet long, then the rack has to be around 1 1/2 times as long as the head to start being a good one. All of which is moot point with me. If its a legal moose down it goes, tags are too hard to come by to waste time trying to figure how wide a rack is. Moose meat is as good as anything you can drag out of the bush, don't let one walk away.
