Busted, now what???
The other day I was sitting on the ground in thick cover when three does came out from nowhere. It was a pretty good ground blind, had one come up around 10 yards and not see me as she passed. I was going to take which ever one I could get a shot on. I drew with no problem, but had to hold it a while why waiting for the perfect opportunity. Well, it never happened. I eased off and was busted by one of the does. I just watched as she stomped her feet and blew over and over again. It was rather humerous. Now all three are looking at me as I remain motionless. The same doe trots back and forth blowing and stomping as if she were the lead attraction at a parade.
I was describing this situation to someone and they recommended that if something like this happens again I should "blow back with every effort to immitate the sound she is making" (this quote should not be taken out of context, HA). Anyway, they said it would calm the does down.
What are ya'll's opinions on this?
