Used to use 300 grn xtp's (hornady) with 100 grns of pyrodex, 100 grns of Cleanshot (two pellets), and 90 grns of 777 FFFg. All of them would group very well at 100 yards, one inch or better. However at longer distances the groups tend to open up a bit. I also have the older one with the maximum charge of 120 grns and I shoot musket caps instead of #11 caps. I haven't converted to 209 shot primers yet, and don't know if I will.

I recently switched to 350 grn Precision Rifle bullets and 90 grn of 777FFFg and it works great out to 150 yards. Sighted in at 130 yards it is around 2.5 inches high 75 to 80 yards and 2 or 3 inches low 150.

Good luck, and keep in mind with the 700's you have to keep them really clean, especially the bolt.
