I just purchased an 04' Patriot Dually, and I am wondering what kind of speed I should realistically expect. The bow maxed out at 74 lbs and that what we shot through the chrono. I dont have the bow yet as I needed 30" and the bow had 29" modules. The dealer is supposed to get the new module by Wednesday and I am to go get setup and tuned. Anyway I told the dealer I wanted to see what kind of speed it got with an arrow comparable to what I would be hunting with(about 400 grains). The bow shot 285 fps w/ a 400 gr arrow, peep with alighnment tubing(to be gotten rid of), string loop, and the rest of the standard Bowtech silencing leeches etc. Does that sound about right with 29" module? How much will it come up with the 30" module? I shoot 27.5" Gold Tip XT's with 100 gr points. Im thinking this is a standard hunting weight, anyone disagree? Too light? Too heavy? Your opinions are greatly appreciated, Thanks
