You can buy 500 rds of .22 ammo, compared to only 50 rds of WMR. Only after you have a .22, you should consider the mag.

BUT, those cheap 22 shells in my opinion should NOT be used on rabbits, squirells ect... Yes, they will work, but if everything isn't right, they just don't kill like a "Viper" or similar "more expensive" 22 shell.
On the other hand, the 22 Win. mag is so much more powerfull, that even the cheap stuff (is there any???) kills well!!
It's just one of my pet peeves, hunters will go out and buy the cheapest 22 ammo they can find, and then go hunting with it!
