Yeah I do. I am being more consistent with this bow at 45 yards than I was with my PSE at 35. Damn near robin hooded an arrow the other day with a broadhead, LOL; ruined the nock and fletching but the shaft is OK. It is easier to draw for some reason too. My old PSE was set at 60 pounds to make it comfortable and this BH draws easier at 70 lbs than my old bow did at 60; go figure. The only thing I don't really care for is the extremely shallow wall. If you relax that arm just a little, it will let down on you. That has happened three times so far and has cost me one of my arrows.. I was used to shooting my PSE with a deeper wall so I could draw and then relax my arm a little and settle in to my shot. Can't do that with this bow.

The Tomcat should be even more forgiving than the Blackhawk with that enormous 9" brace hight and slightly longer ATA. It is slower though. The birth certificate on my BH was 297 ft/sec at 28" draw and 71 lbs with a 350 grain arrow. The IBO specs are only 6 ft/sec slower than the Mighty Mite; something like 317 ft/sec. The fellow who set it up for me recommended a tube style peep because of the sharp string angle at full draw so it is on there. The tube alone costs me about 10 to 16 ft/sec and the peep costs me another 2 to 4. Even with that and shooting 347 grain arrows with 4" helical feather fletching, I am getting 279 ft/sec through the chrono.

Season starts tomorrow for me so I don't want to change my setup right now but after this season, I think I will experiment a little with my setup. I want to try a drop away rest and a no-peep and see if I can be as accurate. If so, I might be able to hit 300 ft/sec for next season . Accuracy is more important than speed though so if all that fails, I will just go back to this setup. I am deadly out to 45 yards with it.
