RE: BP revolvers in Cabelas.
I have had 3-- 2 1860 colt army copeys. the first one was scrached up during shiping and the wedge would not come out. the replacmet they sent me had some problems with the hammer spring. It shot well at first then the hamer lacked enought force to bust the #11cap. i sent it back and had them send a rem 1858 copey i have shot the rem copey more than 100 times. with the bufflo bore conicals and balls. Mine is more acite with the bbc 180gr than it is with the balls. i can keep a coffey can rolling with 5 shots "all i load in a cilender' And i can keep 5 shots on a 6in pie plate at 25 yd off hand. i love it it has become one of my favorit shoting guns I all so carry it when i am bp hunting.----one of my finds has the 1851 colt copey brass framed 44 he likes it he has not shotit as much as i have mine but he shotit enought to see that he liked it. He is thinkng of buying a 1851steal framed in 36cal or a walker modle from them now.. I agree that the ruger is a better gun but it also has a much biger price. I may endup geting a ruger later on but ight know i am happy with the rem copey.
