Without spending a fortune you can get great satisfaction from doing your own work with either a Grayling jig or a Bohning jig. They both work just as good as a Bitzenburger for half the price.
I'll have to respectfully disagree on that. I had the Grayling and while it is inexpensive, there was play in the nock indexer(?). The result was less than perfect spacing between the feathers. I gave it away to someone ont his board.
Now the Bohning I can't comment on since I've never used that, but the Bitz, while expensive, is easy to get very consistent results with. Alot of pro shops use a turntable full of Bitz's for that reason.
