The 22 Hornet is a great little round would be good for coyotes out to about 125 yds and head shots for small game. But I agree with pharaoh2 the round are expensive even thru the mail order cataloges and even handload them is not for begineers. The 22 Hornet also is known for being very finicky, the gun I had would put one load into about an inch anything else 2 1/2 to 3 inch or larger.
