My son started on something very similar to that. He never got a deer with it but we did try. He is now 16 and shooting a 66 lb xTec. It is amazing how fast they grow. Enjoy this season as the do grow fast. Also thank you for taking your children. I know several guys who think their kids have no place in the woods with them or even on canadian fishing trips.
