300 win mag- very good all around cart. can purchase it all over north america, can use it for many many different types of game.

BUT it's a big load and if you are going to use it for TX whitail, don't! Go and buy a gun you can shoot. I have a 300win mag for Elk, Bear, and Big Mulies. But it doesn't see any time in the fall WI woods. I have a .243 & 209x.50 Encore for that.

But if you need to have a big bore for deer hunting,,, do look into some of the light loads. There is no need to get a 180gr punched out there at max velocity. Kind of like shooting a 10ga for creek ducks!

Check out some 150gr loads or there may be some custom loads that you can find that don't buck soooooo much.
