Sitting in a swamp bottom one evening and right before dark I saw something moving about 100 yards behind me through the thick buck brush. Having alot of hogs and seeing a black body at first I thought it was a hog. After a minute I relized it was not a hog and really believed it was a panther I had herd story's of panther sightings in the area and was sitting in my tree trying to talk myself out of believing I just saw a panther. Right before dark I herd the most ubelievable scream not more than 100 yards behind my tree. Instantly that feeling you get when your finger pokes through the toilet paper took over my body. I new what I had saw was true. Believe me when dark came I realy thought about spending the night in my tree. If some one had a stop watch when I got down from that tree you would of seen a new world record in the 100 yard dash. A couple days later myself and a friend found his tracks in the soft mud behind my stand. Now when hunting my pistol comes with me. Getting chills just typing this.
