I was hunting on a small island last year. I sat at the edge waiting for my buddy in the boat to pick me up. He shot a deer so it took a little while. I sat there about 1 1/2 hours in the dark with a pack of coyotes about 50 yrds from me. When I would shine my light I could see there eyes. I was pretty freaked out. that boat couldn't get there fast enough.
