I have found that if you take the large squares of Shredded Wheat and wet it and then keep working it into a ball, they really like it..I take a piece about the size of one of those practice weights they give kids on their closed faced rods and put it on a hook. make sure the hook is hidden then just cast it out and let it sit...they'll find usually only take a couple of minutes cause it puts off a pretty good scent trail for them.
