RE: Official "Lung Busters" (5) Thread
Was a wet morning hunt. Quit raining till we got to our spot but drenched us shortly after. Had a doe show up and found a spot where it looked like two moose slugged it out. Boy they had the small area all tore up!!
Evening hunt went better. I had three buck and two does with fawns walk by at 20 yards with the biggest buck going 120. Passed as they were heading in Tyler's direction. One of them finally got to Tyler right after legal shooting hours. Would have been a 10 yard broadside shot. Needless to say, Tyler got a taste of the fever even though he couldn't shot. He was in in 7th heaven and is geared up again for tomorrow. He did get quite a few does and fawns running around him during the hunt. Didn't bust him so he thought he did good.
Tomorrow looks like patchy fog in the morning but we will still try to make it out just incase it clears up. Talking rain during the day but hopefully we can still get an evening hunt in. Weather is being a pain but we are getting to hunt so far. Could be worse.

ps So far all buck seen are still in velvet. Haven't seen any rubs yet.
