The deer down here in Nebraska have just shed their velvet in the last three days or so. I woke up this morning and while eating breakfast and watching Tom Miranda on ESPN outdoors, I saw a little 4 point basket buck with his velvet off. I saw him on Monday or Tuesday this past week and he still had velvet then.
