I can start hunting on the 11th but I'm willing to bet that I'm the exception. You should have people sign up and at the same time post the season opener in their state. Since it's truly a gun contest I think it should open on 1st season opener for firearms hunters. I can shoot my bow until the middle of December so that's no handicap for me. I plan to wait until I have a monster to arrow anyways.
