ANYWAYS... He took a photo of himself carrying away a big piece of meat from a Moose he shot with that gun. Must have been a brain shot from what I figured.

After several months, he died and authorities found his body in an abandoned school bus which had been converted into a little hunter's base camp/cabin. The guy was keeping a diary of how he was basically starving to death and had no strengh getting out of his bed.

They discovered that he was eating some type of root or berry that basically stopped one's digestive process from working correctly, thus resulting in a person taking in food, but can't get any nutrition out of it. He died of starvation/poisoning.

This is based on the book &quot;Into The Wild&quot; by Jon Krakauer (&quot;Into Thin Air&quot. He's a writer for Outside magazine that did a small article on this kid. He got hooked and ended writing a whole book. It's a great read if your interesed.
